Cary citizens are invited to share their thoughts on what makes a great place in a community workshop for the Site Design Standards project on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Cary Town Hall Council Chambers, 316 N. Academy Street; the presentation will be followed by a group exercise and public input activity in the atrium. This meeting marks the first of two workshops for the Site Design Standards project that is aimed at improving the application of the seven design principles found in the Town’s Design Guidelines Manual through clearly defining usable standards, increasing consistency of staff and developer/applicant interpretations, and facilitating creation of desired results in site planning.
