Chatham County to Hold a Special Election on May 5

A Special election will be held on May 5, 2009 in Chatham County, North Carolina to vote “For” or “Against” permitting the sale of mixed beverages in Chatham County.  All voters registered in Chatham County are eligible to vote in this election.  All polling places will be open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.  The polling place for the 850 Cary citizens in Chatham County will be located at East Williams Precinct – New Hope Church at 581 New Hope Church Rd in Apex.  You can vote One Stop Absentee voting in person beginning April 16, 2009, at the Board of Elections office at 984 Thompson Street in Pittsboro.  For more details, visit the Chatham County Board of Elections site at http://www.chathamnc.org/Index.aspx?page=872 .
